About Me

Jacqui has taught for 17 years, mainly in South Auckland schools in New Zealand. She has worked with computers in the classroom since 1987. From 1996 she has been involved in the Professional Development of Teachers in Technology, ICT and e-Learning. In 1996 she was contracted by Manukau Education Centre as a Technology Facilitator for 2 years and since 1998 she has run her own consultancy business.

Since 1998 Jacqui has been working with teachers and children in the classroom. She has contracts with several schools where she works one on one with the teachers in the integration of ICT into the curriculum. Jacqui analyses where the teachers are 'at' using'Levels of Integration'and then works with them to advance their own skill level and their level of integration in the classroom.

Occasionally Jacqui will teach in a classroom for a short period of time with several computers and technology tools. Using the classroom's existing programme Jacqui demonstrates how e-Learning can be integrated through classroom teaching and learning Teachers from all over Auckland are invited to observe Jacqui at work in the classroom.

As well as working with teachers in classrooms she runs Teacher Only Days and Staff meetings in schools. Professional Development is also provided through a variety of courses held at Kohia Teachers Centre or Hingaia Peninsula School or Mountain View School.

When she is not working with teachers and children she is developing and writing resources that are available on her Teacher Pay Teacher and TES Shops.
